Jax is 3 months shy of 3 years old. He is quite the sponge. I cannot believe all he retains and understands. His vocabulary and comprehension is amazing. Jaxon is quite the little lover too. He is always telling Michael and I that he loves us and is so polite. He loves his brother, but is also pretty protective of him. Jaxon is doing great at potty training and has been a pro for a few months now. We can't say enough about "J" we love him so much!!!
Xander Michael James Papac
Xander is 1 1/2! He has quite the fun crazy personality. He loves to play and pick on his brother now. He is walking all over and beginning to say a number of words of recent. He also knows a number of his animal sounds. He is getting a ton of teeth right now and is struggling with them. I feel so bad for him, but he's a trooper. We love this little guy so much!
Papac Post: What's News With Us
**May 24, 2010 Official Climber Xander decided today to become a climber I swear. He climbed the stairs to Jaxon's top bunk and was on his bed. He then climbed up on the couch, which he has never been able to do. And then I found him up on his high tool work bench. Here we come hospital visit.
**May 22, 2010 Xander in a Big Boy Bed Xander has officially slept in a big boy bed. It took 1.5 hours to get him asleep, but he did it. He and Jaxon slept in the bunkbeds.
**May 2010 Names for our baby Jaxon has a few names for our new baby. He would like to call it Reba (after Reba the singer). He also thinks Taylor Swift and not Taylor Papac, but Taylor Swift. He then thought Easton Corbin for a boy, which Easton actually might make the cut if it's a boy. He is so funny!
**April 2010 Music in our home Our boys have become huge music fans and have for the first time both been singing. Jaxon has a number of songs down that he knows the words too and Xander can hum just about everything. He loves to hum and he is so stinking good. Jaxon is currently obsessed with Hillbilly Bone (Bone to Bone) and Taylor Swift. Xander loves Carrie Underwood's "Cowboy Castanova." He sings the whoa whoa amazingly.
**March 2010 "I'm Sick" Jaxon came to me and said "Mom, I'm sick. I have a baby in my tummy." My poor kids have had to deal with mommy laying on the couch a lot and not being able to play with them. I thought this was so cute though!
**March 10, 2010 Lucky #3 We found out the we are expecting our third little one!!!!
**January 20, 2010 Walker Xander can walk!!!!!!! He's been standing up on his own for the past 2 weeks, but hasn't taken many steps and finally he did it for Grammie tonight!
**January 19, 2010 Can It Be? I'm a little hesitant to document this, but Jaxon is finally potty trained!!! I have been working at this on and off for the past forever...I don't even know how long it's been. He's only 2 1/2 so he's still okay but it's been frustrating because he was completely trained and then randomly just decided he wanted diapers again. Then on random days he would ask for his big boy pants again and he would do great for the day, but would want to go back to diapers the next day. Well today we were discussing school and he said he wanted to go. I used the opportunity and told him he had to be potty trained to be able to go to school. Immediantly he told me he wanted his big boy pants and has not taken them off. I'm praying he doesn't regress again!
**January 2010 Talking Fool
Xander is growing up so quickly right now that I can't keep track. He is talking like a crazy man. He can say momma, dadda, papa (pointed at his picture the other day and said papa), bye bye, cup, and go go go. He shakes his head no and can make a number of animals sounds such as pig, dog, monkey, duck, and elephant when asked what they say.
**January 11, 2010 "Nice to Meet You"
Last night we were trying to work with Jaxon on what to say when someone says hi to him (he usually just stares). So we were telling him you say hi and it's nice to meet you. Of course he didn't do that (he did smile at people though), but today while I was on the phone to my grandma he says "tell her hi and it's nice to meet you." So cute!
**January 10, 2010 Cutting a Rug
We had a wedding tonight for some friends of ours and Jaxon was a hit in my book. He was all about the dance floor and wasn't afraid to just go out and dance. He dragged his uncles, aunts, and cousins out with him. I loved it.
**January 6, 2010 "Blaaaah"
Jaxon came to me and said "Mom watch this...and he stuck his tongue out and said blaaaah (it kind of looks like he is throwing up although that's not what he's doing). I asked him where he got that from and he said from his new movie. Turns out that the new baby einstein movie sampler we got with our diapers has a part on it where the animal does that. I thought it was funny.
**January 4, 2010 Standing
Xander can now stand up from a sitting position on his own. He even bent down from his standing position and picked up his wii remote (go figure) and stood back up. He took a few steps as well, but still not quite walking yet.
**January 3, 2010 "No Oboma"
Michael and Jaxon turned on the television the other day to watch football and the Fox new channel was what came on. Jaxon saw it and said no watch obama dadda. Loved it. We've taught him well obviously.
**December 31, 2009 "Protector
We had some good friends of ours come up to bring in the new year with us and they have two kids each about 5 months older than ours. Their youngest little boy went up to Xander and must have touched him or something and Jaxon didn't like it so he ran from accross the room knocked him over while screaming "No!" Then he dropped to the floor and started crying and saying he was hurting Xander. The little boy was fine as Jaxon was just trying to get him off Xander. I thought it was so sweet that he was so protective of his brother.
**December 25, 2009 "Sweet Fanta"
Jaxon looked out our window and saw our neighbor's reindeer and Santa (they put up the night before) and he says momma come here. I didn't go right away so he came and got my hand led me to the window pointed and said look "fanta and aindeer" sweet huh? I said yeah that is pretty sweet Jax and he said yeah cool! His words amaze me.
** December 2009 Update
Jaxon is saying everything and has the funniest new sangs such as sweet, cool, and oh okay. He loves to say his prayers and wants you to say them with him multiple times a night. Jaxon is also the best at telling you he loves you. It melts my heart everytime he does. Xander is "talking" a ton too. He says momma, dadda, papa, cup, go go and a nutmber of other things I can't yet understand. He loves to play the wii...even more so then Jax did. He is still working on the walking thing, but is still too cautious to get it done.
**Oct 28, 2009 "Illicious"
This morning we had homemade blueberry muffins and yogurt for breakfast. While Jaxon was eating he looked at me and said "illicious, mom." I had him repeat it again and it dawned on me that he was telling me that it was delicious! I have no idea where he got the word, but I loved it. Totally made my day!
**October 29, 2009 Sticks
Jaxon just started gymnastics (or sticks as he calls it) today. We tried it out a few weeks ago, but this was the first real one. The class is actually just a motor development class, but they have it in the gymnastics building. Anyways Jaxon jumped on the tramp, did summersaults, hung on bars, jumped in balls, went through tunnels, walked on the beam, and climbed a wall. He loved it and did so good!
**October 22, 2009 Surgery again
Xander had to go in for surgery again today, but did so great. He came out of surgery and slept for a few hours and then woke up and was back to new. He was crawling everywhere and trying to stand up on everything again. I limited him so he wouldn't hurt himself, but he did so good! YEAH!
**October 15, 2009 We're standing
Xander is pulling himself up on everything! I found him standing up on our little table by the door and has since made his way up on a number of things. He's getting too big!
**October 1, 2009 "It's Broken"
Jaxon had just gotten out of the bath and was acting like he needed to go to the bathroom so I put him on the toilet (he knows how to go to the bathroom on the potty, but still isn't potty trained yet...I've been a lazy mom). Anyways he sat on the toilet for a few seconds and then said "Oh no mom! It's broken." I thought I'd die!
**September 15, 2009 On the Move
Xander is crawling, if you can call it that! He uses his left arm and scoots, but really well. He gets everywhere especially those places he isn't suppose to get like into the cords or toilet brush. I forget how "on your toes" you have to be with a crawler! I love it though because he thinks he is so big and tends to be more content. Jaxon on the other hand hates it as his toys are no longer safe at any distance.
**August 20, 2009 Bragging Time
I am just so impressed with my little ones I thought I'd document what wonderful things they are doing. Jaxon can say anything and is so eager to learn everything. We joke that he never stops. He knows the majority of his colors and numbers up to ten. He counts everything and then tells us what color it is. He has always enjoyed music and dancing, but has just recently started singing. It is so cute to hear him. Jaxon doesn't have his ABCs memorized, but repeats all of them when they are said first. He loves tractors, golf, football, all other sports, cars, lawn mowers and blowers, tools, and books. I quite often find him sitting in his room looking at his books.
Xander is sitting and rolling everywhere. He is trying to crawl and I would guess will be any day now. He loves to be around others and thinks his brother is just about it. He can eat by himself and has two teeth that allow him to eat big boy food. He loves his voice and really enjoys screaming (usually out of excitement). Xander does very good at standing up with help and would almost rather be standing. Xander can say dadda and loves to babble random things. He loves to clap and wave. When we have the music on he claps his hands and bobbs his head along. It is very cute! Xander also is in the copy stage where if you do a movement he follows (or tries at least).
**August 1, 2009 Nose....Fries
Michael was out of town and Jaxon asked for some fries so I took the boys and went through McDonalds' drive thru. When I got the bag, Jaxon said "Mommy, nose, fries." I thought it was so cute. He didn't know the word smell, but he wanted to let me know that he smelled the fries.
**July 13, 2009 Big Chair
Xander officially moved out of his baby seat and into a new big boy car seat. He still has to face backwards, but you can tell he thinks he's pretty big. Tonight we went out to dinner and since he's not in his baby seat anymore he had to get a high chair. You should have seen him....he was all smiles (even more so then usual) and was talking with everyone who would look at him. I swear he grew up overnight.
**July 12, 2009 A Stranger in Xander's Crib
Last weekend we moved Jaxon into Xander's room so we could have a guest room and we thought they may do better with going to bed. Jaxon always wants Mike or I to be in there until he falls asleep. And they have loved being together. Anyways...tonight we put them to bed and were in the living room when we heard them in there laughing and playing. So, we went in to see what was going on and Jaxon had climbed up in Xander's crib and the two of them were playing. I just about died laughing. It's amazing how two little boys only 2 and 7mths can already be causing trouble together.
**July 10, 2009 Two, Three, Four, Five
Today we were sitting in Jaxon's room playing and he started counting his toes...two, three, four, five (he won't say one for some reason). I just about died. It's amazing how smart he is and what he picks up on. When Mike got home I had Jax show him how he could count and he said two, three, four, five, six. So in a matter of a few hours he managed to learn another number. It was very fun for us.
**June 20, 2009 Bait and Switch
We had a Wii night on Friday. We thought it would be fun for Jax to play as we have put the Wii away due to behavioral problems. He was so excited. Michael got it set up and he and Jax started playing tennis. After the first game Jaxon started throwing a fit and had to go to his room to calm down. Michael went to get him out of his room and Jaxon took him into our room and asked Michael to play the guitar. When Michael picked up the guitar Jaxon b-lined it for the Wii. Turns out Jaxon didn't want Michael playing with him. Such a little turkey!!
**May 25, 2009 At 90 Degrees or Shall We Say 80
Xander is sitting up!!! It is so fun to see him sit upright and play with his toys. We have been working at it, but finally he is able to maintain his balance and stay up. Jax woke up from his nap to find Xander sitting and playing. He thought that was the coolest thing. He just laughed.
**May 16, 2009 Water, Water, and More Water
As if the flood wasn't enough water for a lifetime, we have had 3 other water issues since. The washer at our rental started leaking just as we were getting ready to move out, we had 2 inches of water in our home's crawl space (which thank God was nothing more than too much yard watering), and the kitchen faucet was leaking water both out the top and underneath the sink (also thankful repairable). Michael and I have decided we hate water!!
**April 30, 2009 Ball...Yes.....
I was over putting something away in the closet and I heard this loud sound. I said "What was that" and Jaxon, who had just walked in the room, says "Ball." I said "Did you throw it?" and he replied "Yes!" I find it so fun to be able to really communicate with him. I can understand him and he understands me. It is so wonderful!!!
**April 25, 2009 Sibling Rivarly Hits Its Peak
I left Xander in his jumper and Jaxon on the otherside of the room playing while I went and got their clothes and diapers for the day. I heard Xander kind of screaming, which isn't abnormal these days as he has really found his voice, so I finished getting what I needed and came out. When I got out to where they were I saw Xander sitting in his jumper and Jaxon poking him in the forehead with a plastic cooking fork. I was mortified!!!!
