Another Year Older

I turned 27 on June 8th. It's amazing how time flies and life changes. I was thinking just the other day that Michael and I have our 10 year school reunion next year. Yikes!!! I had an amazing birthday though. We celebrated at my dad and Kim's cabin with my dad, Kim, sister, and Grandma. Kim fixed me a wonderful meal and my sister and grandma fixed me a fun cake. We got to go 4-wheeling, take naps, go for walks, and play pool. The day of my birthday my sister-in-law, Melissa, and all my nieces and nephews came out to visit that morning. They brought me coffee and homemade cinnamon rolls. We got to chat and just spend time together. It was a great start to the day. Then my wonderful mom came that night and watched the kids and my amazing husband took me out on a date. We went to the Melting Pot, a fondue restaurant here in Boise. It was wonderful. We were there 3 hours enjoying the food and even more the quiet alone time that we never get. Michael also surprised me and got me a rad new camera. I love it!!!! Thanks baby! The day following my birthday...my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law, Elizabeth, came up and brought me lunch and a birthday cake. We spent the whole afternoon chatting and spending time together. I loved it! And as if that wasn't enough my mom came over that night and brought dinner. She also bought me flowers and helped me plant them outside. Thank you everyone for such a wonderful day! I really enjoyed turning older this year! Here are some pictures...

Jaxon was loving on Teton from his little chair. He thinks he's cool that he's big enough to get in it now.

My Grandma and Xander. My grandma took care of Xander a good majority of the weekend. It was nice to have some breaks

Kimmie and Xander. She also was great at giving me breaks with the kids. Everyone was actually it was very nice.

Mike, Jaxon, Dad and I went for a 4-wheel ride. It was awesome and Jaxon loved it. He actually fell asleep on the way back.

This was Mike and I at The Melting Pot full from dinner, but loving every minute of it.

This was the main course. We actually had a spinach artichoke cheese fondue to start with vegetables, chips, 3 different breads, and granny apple bites. Then they brought us this amazing salad that we both devoured. This was the main course that they brought out next. It had steak, shrimp, lobster, fillet mignon, portabella mushrooms, chicken, scallops, and vegetables. We chose some yummy burgundy wine concoction to cook our food in, which you can see in the pot. We just used the skewers to put the meat in the boiling pot, waiting a few minutes until it was cooked and then enjoyed. After this we got another pot that was filled with tiramisu chocolate and a plate of goodies that consisted of bananas, strawberries, marshmallows, rice crispy treats, brownies, pound cake, and cheese cake. It was absolutely amazing. The best part is we ate everything!!
